From May to September 2025, the team at the Limno Station carried out weekly sampling at Weißenstädter See to monitor phytoplankton community composition throughout the summer season.This marks the first systematic study of the lake’s full phytoplankton composition, providing a solid baseline for tracking ecological changes and understanding its recurring algal blooms. With a large set of samples and data now collected, we’re looking forward to analysing the results: these will form the core of Eva's MSc thesis.
